Hakka people serve guests Lei-Cha as a beverage and (also as) a dessert. The most important ingredients of Lei-Cha were rice, tea, and ginger. They were ground into powder and mixed with hot water. Lei-Cha was meant to taste a bit salty but nowadays more people enjoy sweet Lei-Cha.
