Success means being good at what you do and nothing else. This I thought was true. There are two things that most successful people have in common. First, they are masters at their crafts. Second, at some point in their lives, they met the right people who can help them and didn’t behave like a jerk. 

Old Young Man

A friend told me he has run across many “old” young men these days. They don’t have anything meaningful to do or any place special to go. They have no purpose, no hope, and no dreams. They get stuck in life going nowhere. They are young in age but old in mind and heart. I told my friend I have seen the opposite. I know some people who are advanced in age but young in their ambition, thinking and spirit. I think it is more fun to be with young old men than old young men. 

New Job

Diana is excited about landing her first job at a major law firm. She has been to at least half a dozen interviews over the past couple of weeks. She is a lawyer. She graduated from law school about six months ago and she is really eager to start working off the debt that she accumulated paying for her education. She needs to pack up all her things and move to Chicago over the weekend. She is starting her life as a career woman. 

Chameleons Change Colors According To Their Surroundings

Chameleons change colors according to their surroundings. This I thought was true. As a kid, I was told that chameleons change colors in order to blend in and hide from their predators. Even the Disney movie “Monsters, Inc.” had a scene with a chameleon practicing its color-changing skills in front of different backgrounds. 

Friction

When you are picking team members to work with on a project, do you always pick those who agree with every opinion of yours? Consider for a moment the benefits you could reap from a team member who has a different vision. Sometimes when things go too well, we progress so fast we miss the blind spots. Friction creates conflict, which can be unpleasant sometimes, but friction can also be the ladder to greatness.

My Cat Rub Me With His Body To Show Affection

My cat rubs me with his body to show affection. This I thought was true.Like many cat-lovers, I used to interpret cat behaviors with human eyes. I thought my cat rubbed his body against me in order to be closer to me. I also thought it licked his fur after cuddling with me because I messed it up. That’s not at all what he was doing!

Do you enjoy your job? If not, you will find yourself stuck doing something you dislike for half of the time you are awake. The greatest blessing is to have a job you cannot wait to get to. When you take pleasure in your work, it motivates you to get up every morning and have a fulfilling day. When you are in the zone, you do not have time to worry about minor irritationsin life because you can not care less.
